THE WINNIPEG POLICE SERVICE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COMPLETE ALL CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK APPLICATIONS THAT HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED ONLINE. DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, POLICE HEADQUARTERS AT 245 SMITH STREET IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC. THIS INCLUDES THE PROCESSING OF FINGERPRINTS FOR CIVIL PURPOSES SUCH AS CRIMINAL RECORD CHECKS AND TO CONFIRM IDENTIFICATION.
THEREFOERE IF PART OF THE PROCESS REQUIRES YOU TO GET YOUR FINGERPRINTS TAKEN THE WINNIPEG POLICE SERVICE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COMPLETE YOUR ONLINE CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK.
IF YOU FAIL EQUIFAX (ELECTRONIC IDENTIFICATION VERIFICATION) OR YOU DECIDE NOT TO USE EQUIFAX TO CONFIRM YOUR IDENTITY THE WINNIPEG POLICE SERVICE WILL CONFIRM YOUR IDENTITY THROUGH A VIDEO-CONFERENCE CALL.
IF YOU DO APPLY ONLINE AND YOU REQUIRE FINGERPRINTS, YOUR RECORD CHECK WILL NOT BE PROCESSED UNTIL SUCH TIME THE POLICE HEADQUARTERS AT 245 SMITH STREET IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Welcome to ePIC - the electronic Police Information Check online system.
The Police Information Check Unit of the Winnipeg Police Service is very pleased to offer the citizens of Winnipeg the ability to utilize an automated online system for submitting Police Information Checks.
NOTE: If you are using a MAC-Safari browser DO NOT hit the back arrow on your browser. This is known to cause problems with some web based systems.
* Please note: for the purpose of the ePIC online system the term “Agency” will also include reference to a company or an organization.
Choose the following:
Perform Personal Police Information Check - to create a personal account and to submit an application.
Create Agency Account Profile - to register and create an Agency account.
Login with Existing Account - for individuals and Agencies who have already created accounts.
The ePIC system will allow results of the Police Information Checks to be delivered directly to Applicants for viewing online. Applicants will be able to SHARE the results of their completed Police Information Check with their specified agency, and in addition can share those same results with multiple agencies without having to submit a new application.
ePIC will allow agencies the convenience of creating accounts and viewing all of their applicants' results online, and monitoring application processing dates and managing/tracking shared applicant results.
THERE ARE NO REFUNDS: ONCE YOU HAVE APPLIED AND PAID FOR YOUR RECORD CHECK THERE WILL NOT BE ANY REFUNDS. ENSURE ALL OF THE INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE IS CORRECT AS THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS. THE ID YOU PROVIDE MUST BE FROM THE LIST PROVIDED. IT MUST BE VALID AND CLEAR. IF YOUR APPLICATION IS REJECTED YOUR MONEY WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
